I came across the article about a man who got lost in Riverside county at the top of Mount San Jacinto. A lone hiker took the Palm Springs Areal Tram to the top of the mountain and became disoriented while he was on his hike. He was able to contact local authorities on his cell phone and was eventually located by rescuers using his GPS coordinates.
